The Art Therapy Room & Materials

Art Therapy doesn’t always take place in a purpose built space, but where ever it happens: the room and environment will be made as welcoming and user-friendly as possible to help the clients to feel safely held.

The materials provided could be for example: paint, pencils, crayons, felt-tips, old magazines and collage materials, paper for tearing up or making papier-mâché, fabrics, recycling materials, string, glue, clay and sand. The Art Therapist always keeps the client’s work safe and secure until the therapy comes to an end.
